Vanessa started her Yard Love business in May 2023.
What attracted you to starting a yard sign business?
I actually ordered a yard love greeting through another affiliate. I loved how the sign came out, and I started looking into how I could create a business out of it. I thought it was such a great idea to have fun bringing joy to people and also being able to help my family financially.
Do you set up yard greetings for your local schools or businesses?
I have worked with some in my community of Northlake, Schiller Park area. One was a daycare for a Halloween sign. I am also setting up their upcoming graduation sign too! I’ve enjoyed networking with other local businesses and it’s been a great way to promote my business.
What is the favorite sign you’ve set and why?
I set up a couple’s “Congrats! It’s a Girl!” sign, and then a few months later they reached out for their welcome home sign. Their baby was born prematurely and it made me happy to hear the baby was coming home. It was special to me because I felt that I was really a part of their journey.
