Why did you choose to start a sign business with Yard Love?
During COVID I was looking for a creative way to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. That’s when I stumbled upon Yard Love. I told my husband that would be a fun “job” to have. Ironically, my husband worked with the affiliate who covered our area. Fast Forward a few years and my husband found out that his co-worker was leaving the Yard Love business. We jumped on the opportunity and the rest is history!
What is a community event you’ve set up for, and why was it special for you to be involved?
Each year, a few small business owners in my community put together a back to school bash where kids can get free haircuts, backpacks, school supplies, etc. It’s fun to meet the families of our community.
What is a sign you’ve set that has a special story or got a fun response from the customer?
This sign was a special one. Hayes has been battling Leukemia and a few months and prior to his birthday, I reached out to his mom asking if I could place a sign in his yard to give him a special birthday. This turned into a HUGE celebration with a drive by from our local fire department, police department, jeep club, motorcycle club and the local news station even paid a visit. It’s definitely a day many won’t forget.
What do you love most about being a Yard Love affiliate?
Every sign has a story. It’s fun to hear those stories and help others celebrate their loved ones’ special occasions.
