Why did you choose to start a sign business with Yard Love?
I started my sign business with Yard Love because I wanted to create something that brings genuine joy to people during life’s special moments. There’s something so meaningful about seeing someone light up when they pull into their driveway and realize their family or friends went out of their way to celebrate them. Those reactions are priceless.
I’ve always loved creativity and making things feel personal and beautiful, but I also wanted a business that felt heartfelt — not just transactional. Yard signs allow me to be part of birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, baby showers, and milestones that people will always remember. In a world that can feel rushed and stressful, I love being able to help create moments that make people stop, smile, and feel loved.
What truly makes it special for me is knowing that behind every setup is a story — a proud parent, a grateful spouse, a best friend, or someone trying to make another person feel celebrated. Being trusted to play a small part in those memories means so much to me. It’s more than signs in a yard; it’s helping people feel seen, appreciated, and celebrated in a big way.
What is a community event you’ve set up for, and why was it special for you to be involved?
One community event that has truly touched my heart was the Safe & Healthy Kids Fair hosted by Seven Mountains Media. Being asked to come back again this year was such an incredible honor and something I am deeply grateful for. It means so much to know that I can continue being part of something that brings so much happiness and positivity to families in my community.
There is something incredibly special about watching children light up with excitement, seeing families laugh together, and witnessing an entire community come together with such kindness, love, and purpose. Moments like these are a beautiful reminder that even the smallest gestures can create lasting memories.
Being able to contribute to an event centered around children, families, health, and togetherness is so rewarding to me personally. It’s about so much more than setting up signs — it’s about helping create moments people will carry in their hearts long after the day is over. Events like this remind me why community matters so deeply and how powerful it is when people come together to support, uplift, and celebrate one another.
What is a sign you’ve set that has a special story or got a fun response from the customer?
One sign that will always stay close to my heart was for a father celebrating his 80th birthday. His daughter had reached out to me because she wanted to honor him in a truly special way. She shared that her dad was a very private man who spent his whole life thinking about and caring for everyone else, but never really liked attention focused on himself.
I secretly set up the birthday sign in his yard along a busy road, and even while I was putting it together, cars were already honking their horns, waving, and rolling down their windows to shout “Happy Birthday!” It instantly turned into something so much bigger than just a sign.
When I returned to pick it up, her father introduced himself to me. He had tears in his eyes as he thanked me over and over again and told me it was the best birthday he had ever had. He shared that he sat outside in a lawn chair for hours beside the sign just listening to strangers pass by wishing him a happy birthday.
That moment reminded me why I love what I do so much. What may seem like a simple yard sign can become something deeply meaningful — a memory someone carries in their heart forever. Knowing I helped make someone feel seen, celebrated, and loved on such a special milestone is something I will never forget.
What do you love most about being a Yard Love affiliate?
What I love most about being a Yard Love affiliate is the feeling of being able to spread joy and bring people together in such a meaningful way. In today’s world, life moves so quickly, and people are often carrying so much on their hearts. Being able to create moments that make someone stop, smile, feel loved, and truly celebrated is something incredibly special to me.
I’ve seen firsthand how something as simple as a yard sign can bring neighbors together, start conversations, create laughter, and remind people that kindness still exists all around them. Some of the most emotional moments have been watching families gather around a sign for photos, hearing children squeal with excitement, or seeing someone moved to tears because they felt so deeply loved and remembered.
What makes this journey so meaningful is the connection to my community. Every setup is more than decorations in a yard — it represents love, support, celebration, and people showing up for one another. I feel incredibly grateful to play even a small part in life’s milestones and memories. Knowing that something I created helped make someone’s day brighter or their celebration more meaningful is truly the most rewarding feeling I could ask for.
