Meet Megan Gideon & Lauren Uhrynowycz of Yard Love Owasso, who started their business in September 2024!
Why did you choose to start a sign business with Yard Love?
We had used Yard Love for my son’s birthdays a few years ago. I saw the previous owners were selling and talked to my sister about us possibly buying it. We thought it would be a fun side business and a way to help people add a special touch to their celebrations.
What is a community event you’ve set up for and why was it special for you to be involved?
We just set up a senior sign for the FFA high school graduates. The mom that ordered it had recently lost their house in a tornado here in Owasso. She had won a gift certificate from an auction and was worried because it was packed away in storage. I told her not to worry about it, and that we would love to celebrate the seniors. We ended up doing it at the school by the agricultural building.
What is a sign you’ve set that has a special story or got a fun response from the customer?
We did a retirement sign for a guy and when he saw it he noticed a letter was missing from “retirement” (whoops). I came to fix it and he was outside and had never seen a Yard Love sign. He loved it so much and said he could help us put up the signs now that he was retired!
What do you love most about being a Yard Love affiliate?
The joy everyone gets from having a yard love sign!
