Why did you choose to start a sign business with Yard Love?
I chose to start a sign business with Yard Love because I’ve always had a passion for creating joy and celebrating people in a BIG way. With a background in floral design, event work, and horticulture, creativity and making moments feel extra special have always been at the heart of who I am. Yard Love gave me the opportunity to combine creativity, community, and celebrations into something truly meaningful.
I love surprising families, creating unforgettable memories, and transforming ordinary yards into magical displays for life’s biggest moments. One of the greatest blessings has also been the flexibility to create a schedule that allows me to balance both business and home life while still doing something I genuinely love every single day.
What is a community event you’ve set up for and why was it special for you to be involved in it? Share the picture from the event.
One community setup that was especially meaningful to me was creating a Happy Nurses Week yard sign display for a local nursing home. Seeing the smiles from the staff, residents, and community members made it incredibly special and reminded me how important it is to recognize the people who spend their lives caring for others. Nurses work tirelessly behind the scenes every single day, so being able to celebrate and appreciate them in a BIG way meant so much to me.
I’ve also recently expanded my business to include event rentals in addition to yard signs, which has allowed me to become part of even more community celebrations and special events. I truly love being able to bring excitement, joy, and encouragement into the community through both signs and event décor.
What is a sign you’ve set that has a special story or got a fun response from the customer?
One sign that will always stay with me was a surprise setup for a 99th birthday celebration. While I was setting it up, neighbors kept coming outside and every single person had something kind and heartfelt to say about her. It became such a beautiful moment because you could truly see the impact she had made on the lives of those around her over the years. Moments like that remind me that what we do is about so much more than signs. It’s about celebrating people, honoring lives, and creating memories families will carry with them forever.
What do you love most about being a Yard Love affiliate?
What I love most about being a Yard Love affiliate is that it’s about so much more than just signs. It’s about creating joy, celebrating life’s biggest moments, and being part of memories that families will hold onto forever. I love the creativity, the relationships I’ve built with customers, and the incredible connections I’ve made with other Yard Love affiliates who truly understand the heart behind what we do.
There’s something incredibly rewarding about knowing a display I created helped make someone smile, laugh, cry happy tears, or simply feel deeply loved and celebrated. Being able to spread that kind of happiness and encouragement throughout my community is something I never take for granted, and it’s one of the biggest reasons I love what I do so much.
